I once saw a resort brochure directed to Canadians who wanted to go someplace during the winter where it was warmer.
The resort was in Minnesota.

I could! 4.25 in = 10.795 cm (What do I win?)

Minus 50 in the Rocky Mtn. states is common. The U.S. State of Alaska that covers your A$$ from the Russian gets damn cold.

Hey now keep the gloves up. No hitting low blows about troop strength, as noted they do not have the same population, tax base or economy of even Kalifornia. And I think they would personally whoop Kalifornia's ass in a fair fight.

Lets get down to bras tacks here. You don't have any superheroes and your TV series are crappy rips offs.

Now that ought to do it.

First of all, keep Justin Bieber!

Second, I was raised in Pennsylvania, and now live in Florida, and consider Canada as our Northern 13 states, or us as the lower 50 Provinces. We are that close in culture. I am a great fan of Canada. Besides Hockey, I think Toronto is one of the great cities of the world, and still want to get to Montreal.

Ontario is great, and I am always ready to go on a business trip to Ontario.

Now, lets end the lockout and drop the bleepen Puck!!!

Plus side- pretty women, great scenery, nice people, decent beer, decent whisky. Love the blueberries in New Brunswick.

Negative side- gravy on french fries, Canadian cigarettes. Was traveling thru Yukon Territory and ran out of Marlboros. Bought a pack of Export A's.

You got that right. I have a silver maple in my back yard. I also have a moonscape under the tree. Thought it was just lack of sun. Didn't think about poisonous leaves.

Hmmm... Let's see... Canadian point of pride is having poisonous trees... Pretty scary... Next you'll be telling me the leaf's name is Freddie!

The colors were proclaimed the "official" colors by King George V in 1921...
So, when Canada declared independence in ... 1939 was it?, or was it finalized in the 60's or 80's? ... Anyway, why did they keep the same "official" (in British terms) flag?

Ah, well... The Canadian flag has been identifiably Canadian (and not British) for a long time. Pride in their flag. I can respect that.

The information I found only mentioned that the king made the colors official, didn't say anything about the overall design of the flag.
