Whenever possible i buy american. I would rather spend a little more and keep it local. I cant afford to spend snap-on size money though!! I bought a nice craftsman rolling toolbox at an estate sale for 2800$ last year. It was full of snap-on, sk, and proto stuff. I sold what i didnt want and almost broke even. I really only wanted the box
On good ships there are sometimes German tools, and I'm always impressed with their quality and precision.
Ive seen some woodworking tools by fein. I think they are german and they work well and are solid. That is all reflected in the price as well i imagine. When i buy something big i spend the extra money. All my corded drills are hilti and ive got a german made diamond core drill.
