I know many gun parts cant be sent internationally, but could I send a scope to Japan?

I'm not a lawyer but counterfeit scopes from China are sold on eBay and shipped to the US

Japan has some extremely strict laws. I would recommend contacting their consulate and see what they say.

IIRC there is also the deal with US Customs, it can take a week or more for it to be cleared, some sellers on Gunbroker won't even ship any parts overseas.

There are US limits on exporting certain firearm parts, and a scope meant to be used on a rifle IS one of the restricted items.

You are going to tangle not just with Japanese law, but US law. Dept of Commerce sort of thing. Do NOT think you can drop it in the mail. It WILL get picked up at customs, and you will not see it again. As in sayonara.
