I'm not saying he wasn't within his rights to be armed on his own property, but the police don't take "no" for an answer. If you don't kill them, they kill you. For the time being, it's still better to settle who was right and who was wrong in the courts.

In the words of the police officer who taught me how to shoot, "They're only a few IQ points higher than the people they're chasing."
That is certainly my take away as a father and breadwinner. I am worth much more alive than dead to them!

...if that is the case, though, all you need to nullify my home defense strategy is a blue "flashy light" on any vehicle and I can be programmed to comply....

Hmm....anyone wanna buy a BUNCH of really cool and hard earned weaponry? Not sure why I would tie up that capital when it can be devoted to more effective defenses like bullet proof glass, a moat, my own drone....:roll eyes:!

This happened on tape, but lots of stuff happens that never makes it to prime time.

This whole country is in a pretty sad state of affairs, but it would be nice if we could do better here in Texas.
From what I've seen personally (not much, but that's because I try to behave. ), the police here are respectful, professional, and do a great job.

He had a tug of war with her leg and fell on his ass when her shoe gave.

Ah!
Thank you Mister.
Have not had a chance to review, but that sounds right.
