Eduardo- nothing to be ashamed of. Tough quiz, you are doing your best, you put your name on your best effort- English is probably not your first language- but you did much better than I would in Spanish!

There is not much challenge is a quiz that everyone gets 100, nor that no one can get. However, any of my questions have involved US Military weapons- perhaps next quiz, I can make more international in scope-

Let me see- where IS that book on the Ballester-Molina????

Well, it has been a few days, and 36 takers- 5 of them 100%.

Just in case anyone is interested- the answers:

The 1903 Springfield rifle could not have been FIRST made for 30-06, since the rifle is 3 yrs older than the 30-06. Initially chambered for a 220 gr cartridge called the 30-03, later changed to 30-06.

The M-1 Garand was designed- and first rifles were built in- a cartridge called the .276 Pedersen- but due to the huge stock of 30-06 ammo on hand, the caliber was changed. Last marked 20 round box of .276 Garand I saw was $250. Scarce.

ACP was Colt's designation for Automatic Colt Pistol.

The SLAP was a special 7.62 NATO round developed for the M-60 machinegun, a Saboted Light Armor Piercing round- a sabot or plastic sleeve held a VERY hard, very small bullet, that traveled VERY fast. Withdrawn due to problems with very hot barrels, bullets turning in the bore, and leaving thru the SIDE of the barrel.

Under US law, non-muzzleloaders are antiques if made prior to Jan 1 1899. Being 100 gets nothing special, but age 50= Curio & Relic status.

A type 2 FFL is held by a Pawnbroker.

Bullets made to shatter into dust on impact are frangible. Some are made to reduce ricochets, some for training purposes.

Remington collectors look at the barrel, just in front of the receiver, for a 2 or 3 letter code- tells month & year of manufacture. B=1, L=2, A=3, C=4, etc. BLACKPOWDERX is 12 letters- 1=Jan 2= Feb, etc

The .410 BORE shotgun would equal a gauge of 67-68. That is, 67 round lead balls .410 diameter would weigh one pound. That is how shotgun gauge is measured.

The LeMat revolver- designed by a New Orleans physcian, had two barrels. The upper barrel was for a conventional revolver. However, the center of the revolver had a large hole. Instead of the usual solid steel cylinder pin, a shotgun barrel, somewhere between 20 and 28 gauge, fired a load of buckshot. And you thought the Judge was a new thing, huh?

Friends, enjoyed putting this together. We'll give it a few days, and see if I an do another- maybe with a bit more international flavor. Thanks for playing-

C3
