I couldn't even read the entire article. After I read "police grade pistol" and "semi-automatic assault rifle" I could no longer read the article. Not to mention they also said they bought a ".50 caliber gun capable of taking down a helicopter." Heck, I could take down a helicopter with a firework or even a potato cannon. Not to mention I have NEVER heard of criminals shooting down police helicopters with .50s. I find it hard to imagine your average criminal will by a .50 to attack enemy gangs. Back to the police grade pistols. I guess that means they were able to buy a Glock, good for them.

Ya craigslist is not a valuable site to buy guns. I can count on one hand how many ads I have seen guns for sale. Here in the Austin area

Yeah, 'police grade' pistol was pretty ridiculous to write.

were those actually real people from ads or were they working with them. Didn't a news report awhile back blow up some trucks and blame it on faulty gas tanks or where they were placed on a vehicle.

I learned from another FTF member that you can in fact sell a gun on CL...IE: 1 ad says barrel and slide for sale, 2nd ad says mags for sale, 3rd ad says frame for sale, I guess selling them "separately" isn't impossible...

Yep, that was a long time ago, Dateline NBC. They rigged the trucks in their tests to explode on impact. (Gas tanks mounted outside the frame) And not long after the show aired they were made to retract their claims and apologize for misleading people. Their "tests" were fabricated and bogus, I remember because I was driving one of the Chevys in question at the time...

Hey I am trying to fight with you . I know they sell guns on CL cause I have e mailed on a couple of them . But what they Were saying is there are websites out there that are dedicated to selling guns without an FFL. Maybe I am not looking in the right spots I don't know . I don't just surf the web looking I only buy from gun shops
