I made 4 call's and went to 3 stores just to get a ruger 10/22 finally got one (the last one and last 25rnd mag) at jelinskys in kenosh. The place was a mad house, they had 1bushmaster left and 4 guys looking at it . Iwas in there for about 20 mins and the whole time the mgr was on the phone doing checks, and guns were flying off the rack .

If they do an AWB will we be able to get sacrificial parts like gas rings or an entire bcg?

In an assault weapons ban, they usually ban things like threaded barrels, collapsible stocks, high cap mags, pistol grips, ect. I have never heard of them banning BCGs or parts like that.

Checked all my local stores. The only thing with pistol grips on the shelves is a single, lonely AR style shotgun of some sort.

But only one SKS seems to be missing from the entire town's stock

Hopefully they don't or the AR parts will go through the roof. Can't afford $500 BCG

Don't know...I rounded out most of my must haves durring the Bush years...

It's crazy for me to see buddies dropping $800.00 on the same Sig 226 I paid $620 for back in 04...

...I suppose it has been 8 years of inflation and increased demand.

I knew I should have jumped on the surplus SKSs that my dealer offered for $200 each. I didn't really want one at the time. In hindsight they are looking better.
