There was an article in one of our daily papers that stated last weekend's sale on firearms, etc. was over 42 percent higher than this time last year. The one LGS I do business with has seen a lot of action, and he told me he is having a hard time getting his orders delivered.

I just want a new carry gun. Went home empty handed. Got 5 mags for my AR though and hubby got 8 for his Glock.

I went to a LGS and to Gander Mtn. They had been swamped as well. AR's - nearly sold out. AR mags - gone. Used guns - shelves half empty. Safes - almost gone.
Everyone's conversation revolved around the panic.

I'm going to stroll around the local gun stores tomorrow and see what's up. Judging by the spree I saw Saturday, I don't expect to see much on the shelves.

My wife was Christmas shopping for me at a sporting goods store today. She said the guy in front of her in line bought nothing but ammo. The total was $742! And he put it on a credit card.

I am glad I am a hand loader!

Hmmmm. Can't believe what I'm reading here. Went to my favorite LGS today and walked out with a new Sig 1911 (took maybe 5 minutes on phone to get my clearance - or whatever they do on the phone ) He was out of Pmags but got several cases in while we were chewing the fat. I was considering selling him some of my ammo, but decided against it - it'll be worth more in a couple months (oh, that's right - I don't stockpile

I watched a guy buy $1K worth Sunday when I went to the range ($1018 and some change to be exact) . The sad thing is, he didn't really get much, several boxes of premium SD handgun ammo in various calibers, plus some shotgun ammo. He was able to carry it all out in two bags. Poor feller...

Most people up here either think its just everyone panicking, or guns are evil. Most people here think its just panic, and are enjoying duck season, and praying for the victims. But even though it is northern CA, it is still CA, so we do have some bleeding hearts screaming.

No one is really freaking out here. Most are just mourning here on the southern border of Jefferson.

I bought two mags and a ctr stock yesterday. I had ordered them before all this mess, just paid for them. Probably would have bought more mags if they had been present

If I buy $1000 worth of ammo, I expect to have to carry it out of the store on a dolly.
