Tried to buy an old Nagant revolver on my CCR today. Placed the order with JG. Do you think there will be problems? Always wanted one because of the unique action on them, think they are cute little F*****s, but that's just me. You don't suppose that they are so terribly dangerous, they will be banned from sale. If they are, does that mean I have to start worrying about my Remington 1858 black powder, and finding food for it? Oh bother!
Forgot to mention that today I got a message from their phone number that their number was temp. disconnected. Probably couldn't handle all the "craze" buyers, huh. Think we are all getting worked up, but that's just me.

I have a Nagant, and they are sweet little guns. Ammo is hard to come by and a little pricy, but that's easily fixed if you reload.

Academy here outside Houston somewhere had absolutely NO AR/AK's. I thought that they just pulled them from the shelves to be politically correct but I asked one of the guys and he said they have been selling out of them within hours of getting them in. Said sometimes there are lines for them.

Also ammo is gone for them and most handguns.

I am on my way to buy some extra mags for my AR and for some other guns. Some ammo too perhaps.

Not sure if I'm panicked or prudent, but I picked up 2 new Colt LE6920's and a Sig Sauer P226 MK25 as investments. I guess we'll see.

JG has it for 14 rounds for $4. What kind of primer do they use. I would probably reload if I found the dies.

have a couple of magazines for the AR. Think that they still may have some iraqi sand in them. I don' need them. Son gave them to me. Don't know exactly how many I still have though. K Industries, no Colts

I use Lee dies (7.62 Nagant) for mine. Take 32-20 brass (I like starline, because the rims aren't too thick. If the rims are too thick, they will not work right) and run them through the dies. You may have to trim them some if they are too long after being reformed. The casings use small pistol primers.
You can find videos and articles on reloading for 7.62 Nagant all over the net. The gun will not have the gas seal if you reload, but it only causes a small drop in velocity.
I generally use lead bullets, which are fine, but can eventually cause the gun to jam up. Just take the cylinder out ever 50-100 rounds or so, and give the parts a wipe down. Mine has yet to jam.

Here's an article I wrote awhile back over them. It has a lot of good info in it.

Heck. With all the buying going on right now, these gun companies should have enough money to buy the Supreme Court.
