Will a new AWB expire like the old one did?
My crystal ball is in the shop right now. First an AWB has to be passed. The last AWB didn't really ban modern sporting weapons. It just banned the Chinese from competing with American gun companies. If there is another ban it will be to control competition with certain gun makers, not to control any type of weapon.

Went to my local WM just to see for myself...

They had no semi-auto's, but I'm not sure that they did at that branch to begin with...The only empty slots in the gun case was where a few shotguns used to be...

The ammo was...meh...but it's always hit or miss there so I guess there's no way to say for sure...

Gonna stop by a few LGS's in the next day or two, we'll see what they say...

I went to my lgs this afternoon. A guy was buying the last ar he had, background check was playing music over the phone. The guy bought 20 boxes of fmj for 17.99 a piece. Owner asked if he wanted to come back later because the fbi had put him on ignore.v

We ordered 100 ARs manufacturer direct.

To counter a rumor that's been posted on this website, have you recieved any letters from BATFE telling you that you can no longer order ARs but only sell your existing stock? I'm trying to douse a flame here and need some verification...

Im seeing a lot of Garands going up for sale on the local Backpage and the prices arnt too bad...

Heres hoping for somebody that has a IHC they need to sell to fund that new AR

Hmmm..... Maybe I should start piecing a AR together, I probably could trade that for one.....

I try to stay out of the fray in these volatile markets. Back in the panic of '94 people were paying insane amounts for junk. One of my neighbors bought a lower back then that he still has not completed and it appears to have some odd sized pin holes in it. I forget specifically but it is definitely not a good piece of hardware. It is a PSA though as I recall. I think he said he paid $300 for it- stripped. I did go in to a lot of LGS's back then and fought the urge to buy. I'm glad I did.

These days I will be OK if they do pass anything new. I am not going to like it mind you, but I will survive. I would advise caution in your purchases though.
