That's the same gun Bud's has been trying like hell to unload @$700 for the last year so. There's been a lot of that the last week. Some of what I've seen on GunBroker/EBay/etc:

Stripped Noveske lower: $850 (previous value $180)
DPMS complete lower: $900 ($300)
DPMS w/ UTG garbage strapped to it: $2700 (estimated...$900)
Magpul PMags: $55-100each, often getting $200 for three (a $12-15 product)

The local BiMart is cleaned out of 22lr. When I was there a couple weeks back they had a few hundred 500rd bricks of probably a dozen different types, along with hundreds of the 100rd variety of Win/Fed/CCI. Now? Zilch. Crazy.

Glad I got my two go-to ARs done this summer.

The asspirates have begun listing m855 for $2000/k and wolf for $6-$750.

Haven't seen a run on primers or projectiles yet. YET.

The .223 supplies are short (I don't have an AR 15 but was curious). I went to stock-up on .40 s&w and all the good self defense stuff also sold out.

I have no desire to own an AR or AK. I also have no desire to tell YOU what you can or can't own. I am all for extensive background checks and doing whatever is necessary to keep guns out of the hands criminals and mass murders.

I'm going to schedule a NRA safety class in the next couple weeks, bet you dollars to doughnuts the classes aren't sold out... Wish the gun stores would be pushing safety and training as much as ammo and firearms.

one local GS sold completely out of AR's & AK's (employee said they have sold about 300+ since the tragedy, this was the 23rd). in fact there were scarcely any guns left that had a tactical look. maybe 1-2 M1A's and a couple of shotty's. even the ar style 22's were gone.

local wally worlds around here have pulled AR's, mini, and tactical shotguns from shelf & 70% of all ammo is gone there.

yeesh.....

To be honest even though we all make fun of them...
I cna kinda understand the panic buyers:

- They probably decided to get a AK or AR "sometime"
- With the possibility of a ban looming they dont want to miss out as it is widely expected gun will be grandfathered.
- If you werent already hooked up,, wouldnt YOU pay almost any price for a modern military style rifle??

So I will not make fun of these guys.
I was toying with the idea of selling one of my AR's to some deserving guy for an elevated, but not outrageous price, include some Mags and ammo too.

But I dont to sell one of them just so a speculator can flip it.
