I own nothing but western boots. I have found that once you wear a hole in the sole, it's better to get half-soled at a good repair shop with rubber or neopreme. It's still original looking, nearly as comfortable, and water doesn't hurt it.

Altama ExoSpeed II. Most days. Very comfortable. I highly recommend them.

I only have these two guys.

The one on the left is some 10 inch Timberland steeltoe, one on the right is an 8 inch Rocky Lynx. The Timberlands are alright, they're decently comfortable and completely waterproof, but they're bulky and heavy even by steel toe standards and the traction isn't the best. I bought the Timberlands because I got a summer job at a construction company that contracts out to coal mines, spent like 200 bucks on 'em, which pissed me off because come to find out I could buy a pair of Matterhorns at the company store at cost which would've been cheaper than the inferior Timberlands I bought.

The Rockys I love though. They're light and comfortable while still being a full-size boot, have great traction, and are warm and water-proof until they're completely submerged.

Anyone have trouble wearing steel toes? I have wide feet (15 ee) and the steel rubs the outside of my big toe till it bleeds. I can't seem to find steel toes that work for me

Don't laugh- nylon Tac boots. They're lightweight, comforrtable,

and walk well.

Also like Army Jungle boots.

WTH, it's hot down here year round.

If I'm not stepping off into the brush,

I wear loafers or low sneakers.

I wear the cheap black Brahma steel toes. they cost about $40 at walmart & I get 2 years out of them. They're comfortable & last as long for me as the expensive ones.

I bought a pair of Cat's a couple years ago, on clearance they were $80. True, they were so comfortable I thought I was wearing big fuzzy slippers, but after a little over a year, all the stitching started pulling out. Considering I get more life out of boots almost 1/3 the price & they're just about as comfortable, i'll save my money for beer & ammo
