I saw it Thursday.
My first impression was "why is everything still all so destroyed?" I had the same problem with The Book of Eli.
Both of these movies are based years after the bombs. Green should be coming back. The world will not stay so, so grey.
All and all, I did thoroughly enjoy The Book of Eli, and I enjoyed The Road to an extent.
I don't think it will be exactly like that, but I believe they did get some things right. Cannibalism I believe will happen if the world enters world war 3 (the push button war). There will be fallout throughout the planet and food will become scarce.
Personally, I believe there will be 3 types of people emerge from the ashes.
#1 The bad guys
AKA, the raiders, the cannibals and the gangs.
#2 The townships
AKA, the people who band together to create a village. There are safety in numbers
#3 The loner
The people who will attempt to fly under the radar. They will either be nomads or people who live off the land.
Thing is, eventually the bad people will get killed (see Wild West) and good will prevail. Government will come back and I bet in about 50 years the world will have rebounded. It still wont be where it was before, but it will probably be a world with Government again.
Hmmm, got carried away again, owell. lol
