How about Joe Bonamassa for modern blues (English blues influenced).

Bonamassa is very good. I jus got his 2 albums(downloads) with Beth Hart and one of Beth Hart's solo albums. I have a lot of Clapton, Mayall and then the obvious classic stuff. I also like Poppa Chubby, but he is a little less well known. His song about 9/11, 'Someone Let The Devil Out' is priceless. Also check out 'I'll Be There For You' if you like a little bit twisted love song.

You should check out Kenny Wayne Shepherd's album 10 Days Out: Blues From the Backroads. Young guitar wiz playing with a bunch of old timers.
