Aimpoint Pro with a 3x magnifier on a swivel mount.

And a matching holster & double mag pouch for your FS 1911.

How about an LR308 build, get yourself a beautiful fluted stainless match barrel and good optic to make it look special, whatever floats your boat. Then you can throw some long range lead accurate and semiauto. Plus 308 is easier on the shoulder and not too expensive

What about a 5.45x39 upper and a few spam cans of milsurp ammo? Is it worth it to shoot the corrosive ammo? After setting up at a gun show this weekend, people have me feeling like I need to be stockpiling some ammo and the 5.45x39 is cheap and comes in the spam cans. Got plenty of handgun ammo stockpiled, but no rifle rounds.

I you go the AR route, I'd go with long range precision.

24" fluted barrel
RRA upper in 308

Yes, I think it is a good time to stockpile some ammo. I use corrosive ammo with no problems. Just clean your gun as you normally would after shooting it.

I've already got a precision bench rifle in .308 that I had built about 8 years ago. It just sits in the safe.
