Default Bikes and booze

Just finished talking to the parents of my daughter's neighbor. I'll be puppy sitting and house watching for a day or two.

Young man just bought the house 6 months ago. His first place. Nice kid. He died at about 1:00 this morning. He and his bud were riding their bikes, and collided. He's dead. His bud will be going from the hospital to the lockup. DUI, refusing blood/breath test, vehicular homicide.

Nice kid. 24 yrs old. Bad choices. I held his Momma while she was crying. Shook hands with his Dad, watching him trying to hold it together.

Y'all be careful out there this weekend, and don't make bad choices.

I can't even begin to count the number of times my stupid actions should have gotten me killed. For whatever reason my maker must have other plans for me

Thank you for that reminder. I work in a hospital and some very sad situations come into our ER..........and end up in the morgue in the lab. It breaks my heart.
