I like big band until the brass starts getting too heavy. I'm not a brass fan.

I love this music. I was lucky, when I was a kid, 'cause I got to go to the Steel Pier in Atlantic City a lot. For a rather nominal admission charge we got to see two movies, two stage shows, a major popular entertainer of the time, the diving horse and water theatre act, and the big bands. The bands were always in the Marine Ballroom in the evening and I loved listening to them. Wow, what a time that was. I doubt that there was ever a better deal, anywhere. That was a lot of entertainment for the money.
