Best & Worst Remakes Ever
Anyone else heard Santana and Rob Thomas' version of Cream's "Sunshine of Your Love"?? They absolutely mutilated it.. The best part about the original was that the lyrics and the melody complemented each other so well but the new song is brash and over the top. Clapton's best quality is that he can be subtle when needed but overt in the very next song; "We're Going Wrong" vs "Layla" by Derek and the Dominos anyone?
What's the best/worst remake you've seen/heard??

I just listened to it, I rather enjoyed it. I could listen to Santana play just about anything. He is one of my all time favorites.
I heard it done with another singer that was a bit better.
Now that remake by Five Finger Death Punch of Bad Company is some of the worst crap I have ever heard.

Carlos Santana is one of my all-time favorite guitarists, but his choice of recordings has gone downhill, in my opinion, since his "comeback" success with his "Supernatural" album. Sorry to see that he has recorded Sunshine of Your Love cuz I don't think anyone could ever top the Cream version.
As usual, I have nothing more than this to contribute to your thread. Seems like there aren't many good songs being written nowadays, so many artists have to cop out and re-record something that was already good.

I like this CD, Little Wing with Joe Cocker is good. I also for some reason I can't explain enjoy version of Back in Black with Nas.
Chris Cornell does a great job with Whole lotta love.
I think I will go to iTunes and get it. 
I am just a bit off of normal.
