Evan Williams is my favorite bottom shelf whiskey. Not really a top shelf whiskey drinker....kinda defeats the purpose when you mix it with ginger ale or cola.

Keep looking! And when you find it, drink it neat.

I don't think there is any other way to enjoy a good whiskey. I will look for Angel's Envy for myself.

I like any bourbon it is just that I like some brands better than others. I drink Maker's Mark neat but use Beam for mixed drinks and do sometimes drink the suff that comes in a Mason jar.

Last time I tried that jar type stuff I time warped about two hours. I was camping, and I swear I blinked and saw the moon jump across the sky.

The last time I got tied up with the jar must have been 30+ years ago. A few friends and myself had a good quanity of it. They had fallen asleep where they sat. I had a small amount in a juice glass I was about to drink before drifting off. As I looked down for the glass I noticed a fly had commited suicide in it. I decided I had had enough anyway and left the fly to the rest. When I woke up in the morning, I was looking for what hit me in the head. As I looked in the glass the fly was gone. I know he didn't fly out of the glass and there was still some shine in it. The only thing I reasoned could have happened is, the fly was desolved by the contents of the glass. I have sipped some since, but when I get into the cups it's straight bourbon that spent at least some time in a barrel and has a tax stamp.
