Default Best Movies Ever Made

The "yeah but you wanted it" thread initiated a bit of nostalgia for me.

So here is a new thread:

My list of the "Best Movies Ever Made":

How the West Was Won - 1962 original version. It had the best cast of all time and was a great story of American History (and Carroll Baker was HOT!)

The Longest Day - also 1962. Also a candidate for the best all-star cast and it was a great story of American heroism.

Dr. Zhivago - 1965. A classic story, and provided a deep understanding of (then and maybe still) our biggest enemy - Russia

The First Star Wars - 1977 (because it changed everything forever)

I am certainly dating mysef (I am an old fart) with this selection, but IMHO there have been many good movies made since then, but damn few Great Movies.

Ok I'm gonna throw in,

Patton (1970) George C. Scott is excellent in that role!

Saving Private Ryan (1998 i believe) Probably the most realistic war movie ever filmed.

Nobody picked Jaws, the original? It is an epic Man vs. Nature flick, imo.
2001 & 2010 would also make my list.
Butch & Sundance was also quite entertaining.
Thunderbolt & Lightfoot was another entertaining flick.

(Too lazy to check dates on them)

In no particular order, top 5:

How the West was won

Young Guns (both)

Battle of the Bulge

Tombstone

The Outlaw Josey Whales
