My adopted Chihuahua is pretty good at warning .
In the wee hours one morning ,
she started growling and woke me up.
"shut up"
She jumped up on my bed and kept growling
pushed her off the bed
still growling.
grabbed a flashlight and looked at what had her upset.
Oh,
just a Tarantula trying to climb up on my bed.
Good Girl.

The guy was 3/4 of the way up my driveway and close to my back door. He took off like his hair was on fire and his ass was about to catch when he saw me (and the laser pointing at the ground by his feet).
