Default Battle of Bella Woods

Here is a video I shot of a video at the USMC Museum today.

Many know I was Army. I have the Army is the best built in. I do however have the greatest respect of every marine that there is or ever was. Marines do what needs to be done when it needs to be done with no whining that you will find of many in the army.

I am sure you can ask Marines the question "Why did you join?" and the overwhelming answer would be to KILL.

I will be posting pictures from the Museum late tonight and maybe tomorrow.

Yes I do have pictures of the bullet holes where that coward mother phucker shot it up. I can pin point exactly where they came from too and I know how he did it without being seen.

It is Battle of Belleau Wood, where Marines got the nickname Teufel Hunden or Devil Dog.

Though your sentiments are appreciated. I look forward to you pictures they are always great. I will probably grab another for my desktop.
Semper Fi.

Tell the story Shihan, or get Spitty in here. It's WELL worth it for everyone to read and know how the Marines became the scourge of the German soldier.

Let's say it involved BAYONETS. I'll get back with more.

"Retreat? Hell, we just got here." -Captain Lloyd Williams

"Come on, you sons of bitches, you want to live forever." - Gunnery Sergeant Dan Daly

"The deadliest weapon in the world is a Marine and his rifle.” -General Pershing

All quotes that came out of The Battle of Belleau Wood.

Marines often resorted to hand-to-hand fighting with bayonets and knives. So intense was the fighting of US Marines, the Germans gave the nickckname “Teufel Hunden”, or “Devil Dogs".

There are different accounts of fighting, but basicly it all boils down to how bad ass the Marines are.
