I'll go with THE BEATLES in this one...

This is simply too open-ended of a poll. You have many different groups listed from very different styles and points in time.

Every band on there could have an argument for their 'greatness'

In the end, its what you see in the ink.....

From the list provided, I prefer the Beatles.

Not on the list, I might add Queen and Dream Theater (my personal favorites).

The Who. Too many absolutely great hits in the late 60's and early 70's (which was the last period in time when anybody actually made good music!).

AC/DC sucks. I don't care how many records they sold, they suck.

I agree with falseharmonix, this is just too broad. First I thought Lead Zeppelin but then the Eagles layered music was deeper....They belong in two catagories.

Hey false, Dream Theater is a great band. Ever listen to Savatage?

AC/DC has the over 49 million copies sold of Back in Black. Second only to Micheal Jackson's thriller with 110 millon.

Followed by meat loaf, pink Floyd, The Eagles.

The Beatles Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band has only sold 32 millon beaten by the backdoor boys.
Oh, I didn't realize this was a discussion about AMERICAN bands, excuse me Tango. According to Wikipedia (and it's never wrong), The Beatles have sold the most albums worldwide EVER at 1.6 billion. AC/DC comes in at 200 million....but that's pretty close. Individual album sales, you're right....but careerwise....only Elvis and MJ come close....and I don't THINK they're considered bands, but I could be wrong.

....and furthermore....it looks like the "Brits" are pulling away in the poll with a combined 9 votes out of 21 in the poll.

You bury me when it comes to knowledge about firearms and YouTube....but, when it comes to music.....don't eff with the Falcon unless you can fly! And I mean that with the utmost in respect.
