I would be interested to know about the other story you alluded to. It could be the spur to get me off my butt and move to a credit union.
It's been a while, but I'll see if I can find the story.

I was thinking of Bank of America several years ago; however, I personally went with USAA.

If this is true, it's absolutely uncalled for.

Thanks. Having read the articles I am not sure if there was a sinister reason behind BofA actions or not. It sounds to me like the Federal Money Laundering regulations are what triggered the holds. I am familiar with how they work and all banks have these triggers for unusually large payments or deposits. In some circumstances banks even have to report this "unusual activity" to the Feds!

However what the guy says he was told by the employee is very concerning. Probably more likely that was the employees opinion not bank policy however it is definitely food for thought.

I will be moving from BofA soon whether the latest story is true or not.

I just bought some projectiles and a primer pocket reamer the other day with a BofA card..

(I dont like BofA but I dont have enough money to move to another bank or CC without being charged a "Maintenance fee")

OH PLEASE.
Recently bought my Ruger 22/45, and some ammo using my B of A card.
I stick with B of A because they recently saved me a bucket of money on a phony credit card scam.

Folks, I am going to close this one down.

Whether you like or don't like BoA, the claims made in the video are false on their face.

Regarding BoA and the gun manufacturer, as I reported on the other thread, I emailed the President of that company, and he DID confirm the story as posted.

Whether BoA is a bunch of schnooks, has bad breath, or is mean to their mother is a topic for another time, but this allegation is false.
