BOYCOTT T.G.I. FRIDAYS!! Stand up for your 2A rights

I went to a Friday's at Rittenhouse Dr in Midlothain, VA (Outside Richmond) for dinner, as I've done on many occasions. Shortly after being seated I was asked to leave as I was carry an UNconcleaed weapon (VA low prohibits concealed weapons in an establishment that serves alcohol). The manager pointed to the door, which clearly stated "concealed weapons are prohibited".

At this point I asked him for his regional managersí information. Well, since it was late I waited till today to start shaking things up. I received a call back from an executive at UNITED RESTAURANTS GROUP; his # was 804-747-7102. (His name was possibly William Vaughn (Don't quote me on that)

To some up what he stated (which was very ignorant at best...) is that if people carried guns in to the premesis that there will be a problem eventually if everyone carried. (Evidently we don't have self control or the intellect to know that the use of our handguns is merely a last resort in protecting ourselves).

He was ANTI gun all the way, and very ignorant about them at best. He was very uneducated, and obviously thinks that people who carry guns are quicker to answer problems with their guns than anything else.

I've put a call in to the company which owns the Friday's name, and still haven't received a call, but will keep ya'll posted.

I'M REQUESTING THAT WE PETITION ALL T.G.I. FRIDAYS TILL WE RECEIVE BOTH AN APOLOGY ON THE MATTER FROM MR WILLIAM VAUGHN, AS WELL AS A COMMITMENT BY THEM TO NOT INFRINGE ON OUR SECOND AMENDMENT RIGHTS.

Actually, I have been in that TGI Fridays. Yeah, the one in Midlo.

I walked out when the mgr refused to do anything about the EXTREMELY loud, foul mouthed drunken slob in there.

However, I did have a talk the followiing day with some folks from the state ABC licensing group- it is a violation of state law (and their license) to continue serving anyone that is THAT drunk. Figure the inspection will keep the mgr occupied for a while.

Welcome to the forum, Palmnos! You seem to be the type that will like it here.

You should check out the "Are you with us or aginst us?" thread.

I don't have a TGI's around here, but would be glad to send them a stern letter if you provide names/address.

Me and the wife went in to a local TGI Fridays several years ago. We were there less than 30 minutes and we were GONE. It was noisey... piss poor service... and the food was cold sh!t. I looked at our waitress and asked her if "she" would eat this crap? She said no. So why the fuk did you bring it to me? I got a long and stupid look and she said "sorry". We walked out!

While I'm at it... we ate at El Fenix in Grapevine (HWY 121) two evenings ago. We've eaten here 100's of times. We get the same meal everytime too. But this time, the food was maggot chow. It's like they were cutting quality to save a dime. Since I've eaten here many times, I will give them one more chance...

I understand that is precisely the charm they are going for. Ate there once about 6 years ago. You can have it.

Having lived on the road for a number of years, in hotels and eating out all the time, I can say I 100% agree with you. That place blows.

I'm not boycotting it because of what happened to the OP - I am not spending good money for piss poor service and crappy food.

I ate at a T.G.I. Fridays, once, back in 1998 while I was in El Paso, Texas during my "processing" to go to Kuwait for my former employer. I don't remember much about it other than that I wasn't impressed with the food, service or cost. They have a presence in Las Vegas but I've not frequented them. With the new "M" casino having opened, their buffet is extremely good. The food and service ranks up there with what you used to get when the mob ran the casinos. Unlike the Strip casinos, who only are looking at the bottom line and don't really give a rat's ass about quality or service, "M" cares and it shows.
