Yes it is. We have a few of them around here as well. Iv caught yellow perch down here in SW MO before as well.

Hey there.... I have a couple of those zebcos (35yr old reels) and still work like a champ when I'm tramping thru the woods to some of my favorite fishing holes at some creeks n rivers.
Don't have any problems with my line snagging on shrubbery.....Just saying.

I've used all types of reels and love the bait casters if I'm using real light stuff then I go to an open face. Its worked for me but there's always room for improvement. .

Are there any advantages to a spincast reel? That's the only thing I use because they're easy as hell to cast. Biggest thing I caught on the Zebco one I have now was like a 10 lb largemouth.

Ease to use, ease to maintain, and ease/low cost to replace?

Iv got one most folks have never seen before as well Id be willing to sell. Ill dig it out tomarrow. Its a daiwa from the early 80s.
