Default Bad Teacher

A teacher at one of our local community colleges took her class on a field trip. They got a free meal and the opportunity to vote. They were given a democratic flyer to help educate them on who their voting choices were. Just the one flyer. No other choices. Our schools at our finest!

Most college student's are too busy playing with their iPhones and trying to get laid to worry about elections. They usually will believe what they are told. Personally, I believe the teacher should be fired. They are there to teach a certain subject, not get votes for the socialist President. If she had told them about BOTH sides, I wouldn't have a problem.

This goes with the whole "If you're not a rebel when you are 20 you don't have a heart, if you haven't sold out by the time you are 30 you don't have any intelligence"

While I get the reason for the outage, to expect college kids to really understand the world outside their precious little bubbles is like asking rain not to be wet.

My last field trip was 8th grade IIRC, went to Louisville for a play... Snoopy... It sucked beyond all comprehension, but that's another story.

I never noticed how stupid people my age usually are until I was about 19-20, I regularly tell people how my generation will be the undoing of this nation, they always seem surprised to hear me say that.

Nope. I took a state/local government class last year and we went to the courthouse to meet the judge and learn the history of that particular courthouse. IIRC, it wasn't mandatory (extra credit), but it was pretty interesting.

We visit power production plants, paper mills and GE manufacturing facilities, as well as industrial manufacturing plants...

Some recent "field trips" include,

Egypt, Spain, Oman, Saudi Arabia, Djibouti, Sri Lanka, Texas, New York, South Carolina, Jordan, Dubai, Curacao, Bermuda... The list goes on...

So no, I don't think we're too old to go on field trips...
