Looks like the Greens didn't let this tragedy go un-propagandised after all

"We are striving for a total firearm ban and prevention for civilians to travel to countries where they can shoot guns for the safety of the public"

So they want to ban all travel to the US now? wtf?

I'm actually suprised the Greens haven't made mileage out of this as yet - they (plus the 'Coalition for Gun Control') are usually the first to start ranting about bans when something like this happens overseas. Maybe they realise that pushing this in the face of a grieving Australian family is a political bridge too far, even for them.
there really are not any depths to which a liberal will sink to surpress freedom and individuality. they are just saving for either an organized effort or as an election tool. if a liberal thought eating a baby would get them more control over people's lives they would do it. they abhor freedom and personal responsibilty like we hate criminals and dictators.

to a liberal the only crime one can commit is working hard, supporting and defending your family so you are not on the government dole.

Trouble is, these bastards (Greens) I quoted above will have the balance of power in our Senate in the Federal Parliament, come July next year

Scary.

Great! Next thing you know you will have to get sneaky to go to a U.S. firearms website. Z, you should move to Kalifornia; it would actually be an improvement, as related to your gun rights. Then after a period of adjustment, you could move to a more free state.

The accent would probably get you lots of female companionship; a buddy of mine was hitting on this ex-Australian chick yesterday, as soon as he heard her speak. Besides, i hear they have some brush fires out there in Kali to make it seem like home.

Did it mention if they rented one or several firearms?

Its kind of hard for both of them to fall down simultaneously with such serious injuries unless it was a deliberate action.

From the article they each had a weapon of the same caliber!

"She also told authorities the twins were trying to carry out the suicide plan Monday at Family Shooting Center in Cherry Creek State Park, where investigators said they rented handguns and shot themselves in the head."

On Monday, the sisters took a taxi to the range from their hotel about six miles away and rented the pistols. They took target practice on the chilly afternoon, prompting one sister to borrow a jacket, Perea said.

They initially shared a stall near a person firing a high-powered rifle. After the twins complained about the noise, range staff moved them to another lane.

"I don't know if they did that to be in a more secluded area or what," Perea said.

One of the sisters then left to place the jacket on a nearby table — apparently deciding against wearing borrowed clothing for what was to follow.

Authorities said surveillance video showed the sisters falling out of the stall about a half-second apart, with other patrons quickly reacting.

The twins had been at the range about an hour and 20 minutes.
