I know guys do that with snowmobiles too. It's all fun and games until you sink one.

I was lucky that we did it on a creek that was only 8" deep but still one friend tried it with his Yamaha Warrior. He made it about half way and the weight of the machine didn't let him go any further thats when it happened his front tires dipped and he flew 10' or so before landing on his face in the water.

A warrior never hadenough power to do much of anything. You go get a Banshee and give it a try.

That looks like too much fun! But I'm guessing it requires a lighter, racing type ATV? Anyone ever do it on a big 4X4?

I would never try it. I have seen it done. CRAZY!!! I ride with some crazy fellas that love to try crazy stuff like that.
I am not sure a utility model would make it across. Way to heavy!
Do any of you guys still ride?
I ride a Honda 400EX.

I have a 700 Grizzly, and it hauls ass. But it also weighs 600lbs, minus fuel and 195lb rider. I'm guessing it is more "anchor" than "sailboat".

He had one of each I wanted a banshee so bad I could taste it. That was the kind of all quads in my mind and still is. Sure you have the Raptor and all that jaz but nothing sounds like a 350 twin 2 stroke with toomey pipes and mufflers. His was bored and stroked.
I had a 250x slower but dam bullet proof, another had a blaster one had a full race 250R that would hang with the banshee then one had a Polaris. One kid had a bike and it was a bulltaco. I tell you what though That bulltaco had some grunt.......
