Mine let's me know when someone harbors ill will toward me, even when they're smiling.

Mine also tells me that when I'm buying a car, and the salesman has to go "talk to his boss", that I haven't aimed low enough on the price.

He is also aware that women are crazy about me, even if they are pretending to ignore me.

I know I'm new here, but here's my $0.02 worth...

I don't think people are buying up all the ARs out of unjustifiable fear and panic. I think there are a lot of people out their like me...

I've always had guns, I've grown up with them. My dad was a democrat, but ALWAYS had a loaded gun in the house and car and taught me to shoot at about 5 years old.

I've always wanted an AR because they're just so d*m cool, but could never justify the cost of them. I've been happy playing with my 10-22s, mini-14s and hand guns, and thought that that is all I needed for home defense.

I've also always believed that it's our duty to defend our country from tyranny, whether foreign or domestic, but figured I had time to buy the guns I wanted/dreamed about later.

I would have no problem with a conservative black American for president, and could even cope with a democrat black American for president, as long as they were an AMERICAN. I do not believe that Obama is an AMERICAN. He has stated that if their were a conflict between Islam and America, he would be on the side of Islam. Well, there's a great big conflict between a lot of Islams and America right now.

I would consider myself unAmerican to not own an AR right now which is why I just bought my first one. As I've told many people, I didn't buy this gun for self defense, I bought it to defend the other guns I've bought for self defense.

I believe Obama is going to disarm the American people and disarm the American government, in order to pave the way for a Islamic take over.

So maybe I'm wrong. Maybe it is fear and panic that made me buy an AR today. But it's not fear and panic that I won't be allowed to own one, it's fear and panic that I might have to use one.

Keep it civil gentlemen - the idea is that we all have guns, and we all have them for different reasons.

If Party A has Brand X because that is what they like/feel they need/want - then Party B can express a counter opinion, but the Admin has been perfectly clear about the personal attacks. Don't Do It.

Thank you -

JD

All of which is why my Neanderthal chooses AKs. Cheaper, simpler, in fact, so easy a caveman can do it!

The fact that ARs are disappearing is evidence that the inner neanderthal is gathering spears, and senses a famine of monumental proportions coming soon.

Gone away?

Hell, I take mine out to dinner and on vacations!

Gus,
We welcome discussion here on every topic, especially the beloved black rifle.

However this post has been dormant for nearly a year, and resurrecting dead threads is bad ju-ju here at FTF. Please feel free to start your own thread, or add insight into other threads showing some vital signs. You know what they say about kicking a dead horse.....
