* Various tweaks
* Popup notification text display fixed
* Can now sort inventory list ascending or descending
* Can now search for person's name to pull up firearms bought from or sold to person
* Beginings of Basic version framework implemented lower tier version as an option for users which will disable certain tabs, along with certain reports.
* Woodchuck chucking wood equation solved for both unionized and non-union labor

Wolf, I downloaded the new version 1.80 and placed my database on a NAS I have. Apple issued a security update so i downloaded and installed it. Now when I start MGDB it just sits at the splash screen and never moves. I tried uninstalling it and Adobe Air and nothing works. One thing I noticed was if I install a real old version .95 the database starts fine.

Not sure if Apple security updates messed this version up or what, just thought I would let you know.

Did it work before you moved the database?

On OSX try going to ~/Library/Application Support/Adobe/ELS/ and deleting the Com.CreativeMindsCoding.IFS directory -- which will remove your stored settings but should let the app start again.

Also, check your NAS to see if a MGDB folder was made. It should have put the files in there when you moved the directory and if not then I I know what the issue is.

It worked fine till the reboot, but I hadnt had to reboot the machine in over a month

After I removed the Com.CreativeMindsCoding.IFS directory as you suggested it allow the program to come up. I then set it up again with the database located on my NAS and it worked fine as long as I didn't reboot my Notebook. If I would reboot it it would lock up again.

So not sure what happened, but it was caused by moving the files over to my NAS. It does take it a minute or so for a connection to re-establish to the NAS after a reboot, but even leaving the app up over night it still didnt see the database.

I seriously don't think its anything to do with your coding and more to do with the way Apple and/or Netgear are running the AFP protocol.

BTW, it did create a folder called MGDB on the NAS.

Thanks for the help

-don

Hmm, I'll have to add some checking to make sure the folder still exists -- and if not, handle it properly. I think it's trying to create a new DB on a non-existent directory...

maybe i'll make it popup a new "select DB location" box if it fails...

No, I don't want any of your information, so not only does it not ask for that, all data in the database is encrypted and never leaves your computer.

My app even has the backing of the CMP -- they are beginning a rebranding campaign to offer it to their members. Even the NRA requested a proposal. This is not some attempt to get your personal info; no tin foil needed
