v1.6 is now out for MyGunDB! Mostly fixes and tweaks.

* Accessories show proper data when Added, edited and saved without clicking another item.
* Accessory types pre-populate now with data from other accessories
* C&R shouldn't be blocked by Edit button any more.
* NFA section changed to add Full Auto to top section, since if it's FA, the other top options don't matter
* Fixed click scrolling in Inventory and Accessories lists
* Manually backedup databases should now be able to be renamed.
* Maximized state is persistant
* Accessory images fixed.
* You can get anything you want at Alice's resturant. Except for Alice.
* Ammo case type display fixed
* Lots of backend tweaking
* AND... released the day before I take a week of homecation. Sweet.

Previous versions will auto update or you can manually install/update through MyGunDB | The best way to manage your firearm collection

Question for you, gang:

People want to be able to track rounds fired through a particular firearm. With the new ammo cheatsheet and ammo system, and all the other changes, how should it be implemented? I was thinking clicking specific ammo on the cheatsheet might bring up a form for you to put in the date and number of rounds for it?

If you have any ideas, please let me know!

v1.65 out!

* Ammo caliber matching for cheatsheet is not case sensitive.
* NFA ownership data no longer toggles between None and selected NFA type when clicking firearm multiple times.
* Tax Stamps added for NFA firearms
* <Insert something witty here>
* You can now have an accessory's price count towards the firearm price instead of accessories price (when building an AR, for example)
* Search now case insensitive and includes wildcards on both ends of the data
* Renamed Import to Restore DB and made it only allow .ifs files to be restored
* Search button on Inventory grid fixed
* Track rounds fired count for firearms - will implement further functionality later on
* Various tweaks

Sorry, please install v1.66 as v1.65 had a testing function enabled that generated a MGDB.log file on your desktop left in from testing a user issue. I do apologize.

Wolfrage,

Couple of things I noticed. First, Your doing a great job and this is looking to be an excellent database for firearms owners!

Changes/Bugs/deletions

1) Windows size does not stay on the next restart anymore
2) No button to edit or set a owners manual anymore

Suggestions:
I am not sure who your target audience is, so this might not be relevant.

Would there be a way to place under maybe settings to turn off and on NFA an/or consignment stuff? With this you could possibly offer 2 version with maybe an additional fee to those that need the NFA/FFL type of stuff and one version for folks that would like just a simple nice way to track inventory?

Already fixed for next release.

It's displayed in the Edit mode.

Well, turning it off would leave big blank spaces -- I'm not sure what the advantage would be versus just not using that functionality? Does it get in your way, for example?

Alan,

Couple more things I noticed

Ammo type is case sensitive (IE: 45 ACP doesn't equal 45 acp) so it doesn't show up attached to a firearm if one is entered different.

Ammo total type doesn't add up correctly on the General Data page

Suggestion:
Can the highlight color be changed to a darker shade? (Note: could be my display though)

I am really loving the concept on this. Great work and I am going to send you another donation, well worth it.

Heh case sensitivity fixed for next release, as is ammo total on the cheatsheet.

I was thinking of changing the highlight color -- I'll look and see what I can come up with.

And thank you for the support and feedback!

Once I get the kinks worked out and the holsters tab done tonight, I'll be able to start working on the Tablet version
