Somebody has to play the bad guy, you cant very well have 2 American units shooting each other.

I have spoken to many German re-enactors and have never met one with a positive veiw of the Reich, they portray the german soldier for the history, nothing more.

Here in New England we have 2 German reenactors for every Allied reenactor it seems. I've never heard any pro-nazi talk from any of them.

Got bored and refinished an old Spanish helmet I had lying around, had to grind a lot of rivet heads off and bondo over them, did a bit of reshaping, ground the bracket off of the front and did it in a cheap camo pattern.

It's farby as heck but it's just for display anyway, better than a beat up Spanish helmet setting in the back of the closet.

Default Reenacting....

This was my militia unit (Rev War) from a few years back... I am the Catawba Indian scout on point and covering retreat;

..Don't get to many events as of late because of my son's travel hockey obligations... But hell.. He's only going to be this age once.. and when he's on his own (or doesn't want his un- parents around)... the hobby will still be there. We (as a family) have done French & Indian, Rev War, 1812 and I've done (on occassion) Civil War.... If I do one more time period my wife has threatened me with a divorce!!

..but as a final thought... I just love this video!!
