I belong to thecj2apage.com but that is for real Jeeps. The ones made by Willys. I have a couple of '46 CJ2As and my son has a '42 GPW scripted Ford he is restoring. Check back in a year and they probably will have multiplied. Old Jeeps are very much like guns that way.

Sounds like fun. I just want to get down to some warm weather and run the rocks and sand for a while. Too much rain here already and it's startin' to get colder.

I collect enough stuff. I'm pretty sure I won't be collecting jeeps.

My all american jeep is made in canada, eh

The old ones are different. The first one I got off of Craigslist for around $2K, it was and still is a runner. The second one (also a '46 2A) was owned by a buddy of mine who had it sitting on his property for as long as I have known him. It is pretty rotted out, but had a rollbar that I wanted. He said I could have the rollbar for $20 if I took the whole Jeep .

My son picked up his '42 this past summer. He paid $650 I think. It needs a full restoration but most of the parts are there. He also picked up a Willys (bantam) trailer for it at the same time. Today he got a complete rebuilt engine and 4 tires for it. The Jeep is all torn apart in his shop which is one of those portable carports from Costco. Dang thing is splitting the seams right now! He is also going to be working for Jeep parts for a neighbor over the next several months.

I've got a '47 CJ2A that I did a frame off "restomod" on. Fun project for sure.

Another vote for Jeepforum. Joined a few years ago when I was looking for my CJ. That is how I found Glock Forum, Bersa Forum, this one, and a couple others all by the same "publishing group".

There's also Pirate4x4, but I've heard they can be rough and quick to flame.

Pirate is only for the hardcore with money.

If you arent building an LS, coil-over, one ton custom buggy youre not welcome.
