Anyone else have to wait long for their CCW?
WOOOOOHOOOOO! Finally, my concealed carry permit arrived! I had to wait almost 8 weeks for it. Down here on the Gulf Coast of MS there has been a surge in CCW applications starting about 5 weeks before the Presidential elections. I was just curious if the rest of the country has seen the same surge. Speak up people!
Acctually, I thought it was going to take longer than it did to get here, having to go through FBI background check & everything.

Florida takes three months, yep 90 days just like clockwork. It's been that way for years. I haven't heard that it's taking any longer since Obamageddon but the total applications are way up! We're mobilizing down here!

Here in central California, which used to be a bastion of conservatism, it only took two weeks for mine.

Here in little old Bonney Lake, we walked in to the cop shop, my girl filled out her form and paid the fee, they said it would take 4 to 6 weeks and it showed up in the mail in about 3 weeks.
We have a TON of NRA members, big trucks, gun racks and "those" types of people around here though - one of the reasons we moved here.

Three MONTHS? My little dinky, country county- 4 traffic lights, no 7-11s, 2 grocery stores, volunteer fire department, one high school- took 3 DAYS. See, this is what happens when you live in a place that has one zip code for the entire county! PS- voter fraud is pretty rare here also- since the poll workers know the voters by name.....

In Indiana, it's customary to wait for 10 weeks, although mine came in at around 12 weeks.

Here in po-dunk
Virginia, Carroll County, usually about 3 weeks. I heard the Sheriff say to another man. " I don't think there is over 2 people without a Felony in this county that does not have a CCW permit, D@mn sure makes my job easier" and laughed.
