Anybody have hobbies other than Firearms?
Hey guys and gals,
With everything going on over the holidays I started to wonder what else was of an interest to the other members of the forum.
Linda, my wife, has a HUGE collection of silver deposit and silver overlay glass that she has collected over probable 30+ years.
Myself, I have a passion for GI Joe, yes you heard me GI Joe, and not those little dinky 4 inch plastic things I mean the full size 12” GI Joe’s. I love the detail and am addicted. Here are a few shots of some of my collection, not all of them but a few.

I love guns and shooting but in Nevada the California Communism is slowly making it's way here. There used to be lots of cool areas to shoot here in the deserts around Las Vegas (but at a safe distance from town) but they're building too many homes and expanding so fast that it's disappearing quickly. The county is supposed to be opening an outdoor range but it's taking them forever and at the risk of shooting out in the open and being arrested and/or firearms being confiscated I just don't really go out to shoot anymore. I'm starting to get back into RC cars now too, it's almost just as expensive but we have a new indoor track here in town and it's great fun, and one won't get arrested doing it...lol. On that note, I'm getting most of my stuff ready for sale, my glock, SKS, Mosin rifle project.....Will definitely keep the XD 9 for home defense though.
So those are my other hobbies....my rc car and messing around on the computer. Not much else to do anyways....money is tight these days.

How big is that thing? The plane, man, the plane......
I actually got into guns more because I couldn't do my first hobby while living away from my parents garage, restoring cars. I've been working on old Mustangs since I was 13 when I bought my first one. Since then I've done 3 Triumph Spitfires, a partial on a 66 Mustand and helped finish my dad's 65 coupe,
Yes gents, that's a blower. Supercharged 331 with AFR heads, right at 600hp in the configuration shown here. It's been out since that picture and is getting ready to go back in. With the help of some valley girdles we should get some more power out of it.
My current project is a 67 Mustang fastback that is just about ready for paint.
Other then then, I like to hunt, exercise, sing, spend time with my wife and I'm getting into machining and tig welding.

Awesome pics guys. And it's great to hear the varied stuff people here do.
I have a nasty habit of buying tshirts cheap at op shops & painting unsavoury designs on them. The 'Commie Scum' one inspired by my krav instructor, due to the abuse I get for my attraction to "pathetic Warsaw-Pact assault rifles" lol
Are a bit rough due to painting by hand thru stencils cut out of old cereal boxes, heh. Which takes a bloody long time!

When I'm not hunting or shooting, I'm consuming mass quantities of alcohol in my bar/shop. It's my home away from home! It took me a year or so to finish it, but I did most of it on my own. NO ONE can tell me to turn the music down, or to put that beer on a coaster! It's my "kingdom". It may not be a five star resort, but damn it, it's mine!
