Default Any TIVO experts?

I have two tivo systems side by side. I want to use two remotes. But the one tivo remote still seems to operate the old tivo too. I have tried programming the new tivo remote only to the new tivo but as soon as I try it, the old tivo grabs on to it as well.

Basically, i want each tivo to use only the remote it came with.

Remotes are either RF or IR and most operate on the same freqs. so you have two tivo boxes. They are made by Tivo and to keep costs down they only use one set up on remotes. That way you can call them to get a new one when your kids drop it in the toilet or spill water. It keeps costs down and makes life easy for them and most people.

What you want to happen will not work.
