OMG- there had to be 1000 lbs of mud stuck to that bird- did not think he was going to make it!

Did you catch all the work the pilot was doing with the nose wheel until the pressure wave built up under the wings?

Those silly soviets at it again!!!! It would impossible to compute your takeoff distance given the resistance of all that slush, and nothing short of a gamble knowing you could make it airborne before its game over (balls of steel)! I don't like to play test pilot, but enjoy the hell out of watching others try. Well played...
