I met force a couple years ago, when they still had a big race in Columbus, Ohio (National Trail Raceway) He did seem like an a55hole, but it may have been because he is real high strung on race day, and running around busy. But he was good to the kids, between rounds he would move all the adults back away from the back of the hauler, and move the kids up front, so he could make sure he had time to talk to them, and sign all their stuff.

And yea, anybody thats never been to one of the big time NHRA events, needs to go. The smell of the Nitro will stick with you a day or 2. When your in the pits you can hear the sound of the engines change after they start them up on alcohol, then switch them to Nitro, must be some bad stuff. If you are up by the starting line when they launch, it will blurr your vision for about 2 seconds. Then if you go down to the big end, when they come by at 325mph and pop the chutes you can feel a boom in your spine. Real cool stuff, if you just watch it on TV you have no idea.

I know a lot of them. But Stewart and Gordan go together like peanut butter and unleaded gas.

I'm an old Indy fan (60's-70's) and the sounds of the Offy's and Ford's was always great but the sound of a NOVI at full scream put them all to shame. The smell of the nitro in the methanol mix for qualifications was a heady smell for a young kid!

Sure as I know anything, I know this—they will try again. Maybe on another world, maybe on this very ground swept clean. A year from now, ten? They'll swing back to the belief that they can make people...better. And I do not hold to that. So no more runnin'. I aim to misbehave.” Mal Reynolds Serenity/Firefly
