Some pics from last weeks race, we had great seats right across from the 48, but your right, it was a snoozer, and kinda warm at the track 103 deg.

Those types of race conditions suck for sure. I sat thru a steamy weekend in MI in 07. 98-102 degree heat all weekend, camping in a tent. Only up side was seeing the Roush F-150 win Sat and seeing a backflip after the 99 won on Sun.

I love Kentucky Speedway, but you couldn't have paid me to have sat through that heat last weekend. Daytona this week was a balmy 84 degrees at the green flag, I might could deal with that. But, one of my favorites went to Victory Lane this week anyway. With the rule changes back to what we used to have at "plate" tracks, I again dread watching these races. Just sitting, waiting for what you KNOW is gonna be a helluva wreck ain't racing to this old man.

As for the rest of racing today, it really troubles me that A.J Almendinger got suspended for failing a drug screen, I'm hoping it's a "false positive" instead of another Mayfield incident. If true, here's hoping he gets the help he needs, follows the rehab NASCAR insists on, and can return to the track. The kid can drive, he's just had some really weird luck this year.

Give 'em hell Smoke!
