...and they were delicious!

We had great seats. Section M and about 30 rows up, about 80 yards beyond the finish line. Loved watching the drag races from the start and all the restarts - right in front of us.

But I was Pi$$ed. I gave up pulling for Tony after his sprint car wreck. So I thought Ryan Newman would be a good one to support. He was back most of the race 22nd or more. Worked his way up to 3rd and got bumped into the wall in turn 1. Da*#!$!

Our son loves Matt K. Was hoping he could hold off JG but didn't happen. Oh, well...wait til next week, right?

Yeah kinda saw that coming .
I think it should stay retired but as NASCAR said they don't have enough numbers
but that don't mean you have to pick it.

No respect

Childress still owns the number. As I recall, he pulled it from use out of respect, but I don't recall any official NASCAR policy regarding it.
I suspect that this might be a case of "what Lil' Austin wants, Lil' Austin gets."
I'm not & never was a huge Earnhardt Sr. fan. However, this struck me as pushing the envelope unnecessarily. Frankly if the number was to come back I'd rather see it on just about any other driver's car. I'm not entirely sure why, but Austin Dillon drives me up the wall.

Yes I agree ^
NASCAR did make a statement saying they did not have enough numbers to start retiring numbers.
Childress does own the number 3 rights and of course Austin's been using the number 3 so kinda saw it coming

NASCAR ownes the numbers, 1992 Richard Petty wanted to retire the number 43 and they said no. Because Childress was the owner, out of respect they said he could still use it when he was ready. Childress asked the Earnhardts if he could use it for his grandson and they had no problem with it.
