I stay out of actors' personal views so I can judge them by their entertainment values and Andy's one of the best.

R.I.P. Andy

The state of North Carolina, The United States, Even the world itself, has lost a great man. The millions of us who grew up watching him in his many roles, have lost a part of our lives that will never be replaced. Go on home Andy, you will be missed, but we will take comfort in knowing you're in a better place

I didn't know where he was born. Andy was from every small town in America. If you grew up in rural America you understood Mayberry,USA.

I'd rather my own son see me die on my feet as a free man, than watch him go, broken, into slavery.

The town of Mayberry is actually based on his hometown of Mt. Airy. It's a quaint (hate using that word, but it's the only one that fits) little town full of the same southern charm I love about my own hometown. The kind of place where they roll up the sidewalks and shut it down around 7-8. And you can just forget trying to shop on Sunday. I believe they still have hitching posts too... They did the last time I was there in 2006.

I firmly believe that any man's finest hour, the greatest fulfillement of all that he holds dear, is that moment when he has worked his heart out in a good cause, and lies exhausted on the field of battle... Victorious.

Every normal man must be tempted, at times, to spit on his hands, hoist the black flag, and begin slitting throats.
