Those are amazing. I am used to just seeing, you know, like 8 pictures in a presentation like that. I was one the 12th and looked over at the scroll bar, it had barely moved!!!

Those are great pictures!

I've seen only a few of those, in a book called "America at war, in color".
Most of them were new to me though.

Those are great, I appreciate you posting them. For some reason the color, I don't know just makes them so much more real.

Superb look back to America's earlier times. Life was 'simpler' back then, but it was the Depression too - life was not for the squeamish......

That first dam (Shasta Dam) is 50 miles north of where I grew up. My grandfather would tell me about the time before the dam. the river was 10 miles wide in the winter and 4' wide in the summer.
