No bear yet gello. That is one of the crab boats on deadliest catch.
This guy had a bad day. We heard his mayday when he was 10 miles out. The coast guard followed him in. He was taking in water and the cg told him to run it aground on the spit.

Sonic82 and I just missed each other on the Homer spit. Just as we pulled up to my brothers friends house 16 miles up the bay from the spit, sonic called. We will get together tomorrow. It is a beautiful view of the bay from 1300 feet up at Jim & Josies house. Jim joined the navy in 1943 at the age of 15. He piloted landing craft at saipan, Iowa jima and okenowa. So we are staying with ww2 veterans home. We just finished dinner of a moose roast, mashed potatos and salad. They are quite the host and hostess.
