Talkeetna Alaska. This is the flight out to the base camp for climbers and tourist destination. We are going on a jetboat ride up the big sue today.

This little town was the supply hub for fur trapping and mining activities in the early 1900s. Before the railroad they would flatboat the supplies in upriver and then teamster overland to the more remote camps.

We took a jet boat trip up the sustina river today. It was pretty cool. Saw an eagle, eagle nest, young moose swim across the river. The current is zipping about 10~12 knots. Stopped for a walk where they had built reproductions of a native fish camp and fur trappers hit and cache.

Is a moose smart enough to step over the fence?

I'm guessing the moose just moves any fence he wants to.
