I think I only have to look at greenland from space and Mt. hood out my window to see that something is obviously going on. I read the article the OP posted but I have immediate distrust of any article, from any position that opens by demonizing the opposition. It reeks of bias an I don't trust reporting/blogging that isnt objective. I can make up my own mind, thank you.

I have never been, and I should have by now. Thats one of those places thats on the list to take people when they visit. Hoods white ....now, just about 2 1/2 months late. but the first big snowfall just happened and theres already projections of a drought for this summer out here. We need that mountian's run-off in the region

This was the point I was trying to make. There is a lot of politicizing taking place and bias being shown by the different sides on this issue. To me this issue is science, but for whatever reason the conservatives and liberals have very different opinions on this subject, and they are very biased in their arguments. I also like to think I am capable of making up my own mind.

Like wise it is hard to believe the person who screems the loadest about carbon footprints is the biggest hipocrit.

Follow the money. It is the inconvienent truth.

Default On one of This weeks ARPN Alaskan Economic report's

The Alaska Economic Report is a daily news spot on the Alaska Public Radio Network they report on Alaska's economic issues, this particular one was Acidification of Alaskan water's and its effects on our fisheries.

They want to put in more Buoy's.
(Mathis says the possible effects of ocean acidification are not just speculative. He points to the oyster hatcheries along the coast of Washington and Oregon in 2009. The industry was worth about $85 million to the region’s annual economy when the oysters began to fail. Initially, breeders thought the problem was a lethal bacterial strain, but they eventually learned they were circulating acidic water through their facilities.)

http://www.oceansportal.org/news/view/136773/

http://juneautek.com/2011/04/29/alaska-fisheries-report-aprn-2/

Changeing the pH of sea water they figure that from the way its been changeing in the last 15 years they figure there will be a definate down turn in pH by one percentage point by the year 2025, they figure it is not immediately reversable (think thousands of years for erroded stone from mountains to counteract the acidity).

All I know is that when you find your Christmas tree wilted and sapping from the heat in the middle of December ... ah, me thinks global warming has been validated.

Or maybe the thermostat is set too high?
