Well this was a really good discussion and I'm glad it didn't turn into one big fight haha. And believe me if I could buy both I would but here in Pennsylvania gun prices aren't exactly cheap compared to other places but I think I'm going to buy the AK for now and when I get back from my
First tour of duty ill pickup a nice ar!

Hopefully you went Army infantry lmao! Now that will start a fight lol lord knows I've been in plenty lol. I've been to the sandbox twice with 3RD INFANTRY DIVISION and unlike most people I had a" blast" pun is intended lol. You'll get to see plenty of the ak and ar style. I carried the saw lol. Didn't have to but the feeling of all those rounds taking off gets your blood pumpin lol. Be safe out there

Take a serious look at a 5.45 AK. More accurate then 7.62x39, less recoil, cheap ammo. I've had both. I bought an AR in 1994, sold it this past year for almost what I paid. My AK just went out more and I really did not use my AR the last few years. Too many guns I guess. As I've gotten older, the type of shooting I do has changed as has the type of firearm I use. Just like w/ women, there are flavors to fit any taste.
