Including how to refer to the, dare I say it, drill sergeants. Follow those instructions, keep your head down and your mouth shut and you'll be fine. Now is not the time to challenge authority if you are in to that kind of thing. You'll probably get put on your ass despite what they tell you about it being a nicer military and all that.

Also, you don't have to start working out now if you play sports and stuff, but if you get to the point where two or three miles is easy for you, you'll be glad you put in the work.

Keep in mind the military as a whole is drawing down, so they are being selective. Also tons of people are lining up at the recruiters because of the economy, so there's about ten more guys just like you waiting to get in. What that means is they aren't going to give a whole lot of second chances. Get in there, do you best and stay out of trouble. It's a great opportunity that a lot of kids would kill to have right now. Good luck bud and hope to see you around (I'm active duty Marine Corps 14 years now).

Motivation will not be a problem.

That nice man yelling will provide all the motivation you can stand!

Get her dirty, then clean her so she starts to respect you. When her trust is complete, she will serve you well for a lifetime!

Keep your eyes open, your mouth shut and don't volunteer for anything.

Its a USMC vs Army thing.

In the Army you address them as "Drill Sergeant" in the USMC you Say "Sir".

Same thing different name.

I'm sure your Drill Sgt can provide you all the motivation you'll need to keep you going!

I have some my uncle and some of his buddies had left over from the service. I use it on my truck dash sometimes. It also works REAL well on killing bugs
