Well good for you! There is only one problem with that, you will have rank and be squad leader. Everything that goes wrong - you will get to hear about it.
You MUST go to basic in shape, both mentally and physically. Trust everyone who has told you this. Having rank would be twice as bad if you fall out on runs or can't pass the PT tests.
One thing that no one has mentioned, work on getting up at 4:30 AM and rolling out of the rack ready to go. Before breakfast you will have squared away your bunk and locker, cleaned the bay / or latrine. Spent an hour doing calisthenics, ran 3-5 miles, spent an hour or so in drill formation. Then you get to eat breakfast. Realistically you will have 15-20 to do your three "S"'s, and do your chores before falling in after waking up. It would be wise to get into that habit before you report.
Good luck, God bless and I thank you for your future service!!
