Just got some interesting info about Academy. It seems that they are not to particular about making sure that the correct weapon is pictured in their ads. The info I received, from a former Academy employee, is that they honor the price on the pictured firearm, or give a $50.00 gift card, even if the write-up is correct. He said that one time they pictured a Benelli Nova with a write up for a much less expensive shotgun. They had to sell the Benelli's for the advertised price if the customer pushed the issue.
